PURPOSE OF AWARD

To recognize and honor families who have demonstrated exemplary community service by sacrificing to uphold the home and family through and in support of their loved ones service to the country.

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMNTS

1. Family with three (3) or more members who have served in the United States Armed Forces, themajority of whom are residents of Iowa or were upon entry to Active Duty.
2. At least one member of family served in a combat theatre or was officially listed as a prisoner of war or missing in action by US Dept. of Defense.
3. All family members must have received an honorable discharge. (General Discharge, Under Honorable Conditions or a Discharge Under Other Than Honorable Conditions shall NOT be considered valid for this award.)
