Fifty years ago it all started with $500 and a proposal to prepare young adults for the workforce. Hawkeye Community College has been making an impact on the local community since its inception. The institution constantly evaluates and adapts to serve the adult educational needs of the local community.
The exhibit, 50 Years of Making Connections, examines the relationship between the community and the always evolving College. Commemorate the beginnings of the institution as a technical institute and its growth to a thriving community college with an eye for the future.
