Stroll down the paths of the Cedar Valley’s past as actors bring famous Waterloo women back to life through live historical reenactment at Fairview Cemetery in Waterloo.
This year's cast of characters:
- Frances Augusta Grout: Sister of H.W. Grout, and accomplished Waterloo educator. Taught for over 40 years. Played by DuRaae Davis.
- Alice M. Hickey: Married into the Hickey Family, a pioneering Black family in Waterloo. Long-time member of the Waterloo Eastern Star Queen of Sheba Chapter. Played by
Joshalyn "Rocki" M H Johnson. - Maude J. Rath: Daughter of Frank Rath (who was a cousin of John W. and George J., brothers behind Rath & Sons), died at 15. Accomplished piano player. Played by Gena Marie.
- Elizabeth Brooks Starr: Waterloo Pioneer. Played by B. J. Kaestner Moeller.
- Harriett R. Russell Head: Member of the Daughters of Revolution, Genealogist, Author, and daughter of Wellington Russell, an early-Waterloo milling tycoon. Played by Katie Marie Albright.
