It was such a wonderful experience for our family to watch my Grandpa's veteran interview. I knew some of my Grandpa's experiences in the Korean War, but this candid conversation painted such a vibrant picture. Some things were hard to hear and, even with the star of the show in the room with us, we were left breathless at how easily he could have been killed or maimed. And he tells his story with such humor, a characteristic that still remains sharp as ever despite his slowly declining health. It was a marvel to think how lucky he was to have survived; and without that luck I would not be here. Thank you for selecting him to tell his story through your Oral History Project. It was a true joy for our family to hear it.
